Full Job Description
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll take end-to-end accountability for the delivery of major, high-value capital projects, leading across the full project lifecycle. You'll:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex capital projects, ensuring safe, timely and high-quality outcomes
- Take ownership of project planning, governance, and delivery performance
- Manage risks, issues and dependencies, resolving complex challenges and escalations
- Lead contract and supplier management, including NEC responsibilities
- Take accountability for budgets, forecasting and financial control
- Engage with senior stakeholders and governance forums to drive decisions and keep delivery on track
- Ensure effective transition into operations, including handover and benefits realisation
- Provide oversight and support to Project Managers and wider delivery teams
- Champion health, safety and wellbeing across all projects
- Drive continuous improvement and consistent ways of working across delivery
We're looking for an experienced project leader with a strong track record delivering major infrastructure schemes. You'll have: - Proven experience delivering complex capital or infrastructure projects
- Strong experience working in regulated or large-scale delivery environments
- Experience managing NEC contracts or similar frameworks
- Strong commercial awareness and financial management capability
- Ability to lead delivery across multiple stakeholders and complex environments
- Experience managing project risk, planning and governance
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Experience mentoring or supporting project teams
- A structured, proactive and problem-solving approach What you'll need
- A project management qualification or equivalent experience
- Full UK driving licence
