Senior Procurement Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Business Partner on a permanent basis for an expanding business. Within this role you will provide expert procurement support and advice to 15-20 public sector customers acting as an extension to their Procurement Team. Your role will involve the following: Act as a trusted partner and procurement advisorBuild strong relationship with your customers and offer strategic advice.Understand clients' strategic priorities, budgets, commercial objectives and future procurement requirementsDevelop forward procurement pipelines and identify opportunities as early as possibleProvide advice on procurement approaches, routes to market and commercial strategyLead and support complex procurement projects, competitions and sourcing activityConduct regular client account reviews and procurement pipeline planning sessionsWork collaboratively with colleagues across Operational Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Legal and FinanceManage multiple client

relationships, procurement projects and priorities simultaneouslyMaintain strong knowledge of public sector procurement legislation, governance and best practice The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes Strong experience within procurement, commercial management or category managementExperience working within or supporting public sector organisationsGood understanding of public sector procurement processes, governance and routes to marketExperience managing complex procurement projects, tenders or competitionsStrong client and stakeholder relationship management skillsConfidence communicating with and influencing senior stakeholdersExperience managing multiple clients, projects or workstreams simultaneouslyStrong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities for account growthExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA proactive, accountable and solutions-focused approachStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
and manage your workload effectivelyExperience working with Central Government, Defence, Local Government, Housing Associations, NHS organisations, Blue Light Services or Higher Education would be particularly valuable.
