Full Job Description
The Senior Procurement Professional will be working as a key member of the Naval Ships Combat Systems Supply Chain team and will provide procurement capability for our business critical and high-profile Project RECODE The Senior Procurement Professional will work closely with Supply Chain colleagues and with cross functional RECODE stakeholders to develop ment and implement procurement strategies that consider cost, programme risk, project requirements and ultimately deliver value to project RECODE and our customer. Core duties:
- Management of the Supply Chain activities for RECODE - working closely with commercial, PM, engineering and quality to ensure delivery of existing work packages.
- Support on Supply Chain bid activity for all RECODE TAFs, completing all SCAN (Supply Chain Analysis for New Business) documents and communicating the procurement strategy and approach into PM and wider RECODE team.
- Actively develop Combat Systems Supply Chain ways of working and behaviours whilst challenging existing approaches in a positive way and work across functions to resolve complex issues.
- Responsible for the management of all RECODE Strategic Supplier Relationships, leading QBRs, setting of KPIs, management of project escalations and intervening in any open orderbook concerns raised by the Central Procurement Team., You'll join a close-knit, collaborative team that takes pride in solving complex supply chain challenges in a time sensitive environment whilst also developing longer term procurement strategies and partnering with new, innovative suppliers to deliver greater value to the business and our Royal Navy customer. Your role within the Supply Chain function will be to support all procurement and supply chain deliverables for Project RECODE, a critical and high-profile project to maintain and modernise combat management systems (CMS) on Royal Navy vessels, including Type 23 frigates, Type 45 destroyers, Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers and Type 26 frigates. - You will have demonstrated experience working within a supply chain environment.
- High standard of Procurement competence in key areas such as subcontract management, procurement delivery, supplier development and category management .
- You will be able to demonstrate your ability in Supply Chain by being able to build, grow and influence networks, outside of own team, to support collaboratively working and decision making.
