Senior Practitioner

Senior Practitioner - Children's Disability Team Join Oxfordshire County Council's Children's Disability Team and play a leading role in supporting children with disabilities and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes. As a Senior Practitioner, you will undertake and oversee complex social work casework involving children subject to Child in Need, Child Protection, Public Law Outline, Care Proceedings, Children We Care For and adoption plans. You will use your expertise to undertake high-quality assessments, analyse risk, support effective intervention planning and ensure children are safeguarded and supported to thrive. Alongside managing a complex caseload, you will provide practice leadership within the team. This includes quality assuring assessments, reports and meeting records, supporting less experienced colleagues with court work and report writing, facilitating group supervision and helping newly qualified staff and students develop their practice. Working
collaboratively with families and partner organisations, you will champion children's rights, ensure their voices influence decision-making and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social worker looking to further develop their leadership skills while remaining closely connected to frontline practice., As a Senior Practitioner within the Children's Disability Team, you will lead on complex safeguarding and care planning work for children with disabilities while providing practice support, mentoring and quality assurance for colleagues. You will help drive high-quality social work practice, protect vulnerable children and improve outcomes for children and families across Oxfordshire.
