Band 6 Orthopaedic Physiotherapist - Inpatient Trauma & Elective Orthopaedics and Virtual Fracture Clinic Fixed Term Contract 12 months
(28 hrs per week, including weekend days and public holidays, on a 7 day rota basis)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, skilled and highly-motivated Band 6 physiotherapist to join the Trauma & Orthopaedics Physiotherapy Team at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) NHS Foundation Trust.
The Trauma & Orthopaedic service at UCLH is a busy department, working over different sites; Trauma Orthopaedics in the UCLH main building and Elective Orthopaedics in the new elective centre at Grafton Way Building. The team is led by over 20 consultants who specialise in a range of elective and trauma work. Currently UCLH provides first-class acute and specialist services across 8 sites. As part of our continued vision to deliver top-quality patient care, excellent education and word-class research, UCLH will soon be increasing the provision of surgical services by opening a new hospital.
You will be part of the Orthopaedic therapy team, which provides services across a number of specialist areas. These include: inpatient Trauma & Elective Orthopaedics, Day Surgery, Joint School and the Virtual Fracture Clinic. Sound orthopaedic assessment, treatment and discharge planning skills are essential., At UCLH, we are committed to continually improving, to provide high quality care, and this post offers great opportunity for personal and service development. You will receive regular supervision and participate in a structured inservice training programme in a supportive learning environment. You will also have the opportunity to supervise less experienced colleagues and students.
Applicants should ideally have a minimum of 6 months previous experience as a senior physiotherapist in orthopaedics, excellent communication, IT and organisation skills and be able to work flexibly within a busy team. Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and those with a variety of complex needs.
