Why you should join our Team This role sits within the wider MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy Service, providing a unique opportunity to develop and deliver specialist obstetric MSK physiotherapy within a well-established, supportive and experienced musculoskeletal team. The successful candidate will work closely with MSK physiotherapists alongside obstetricians, midwives, consultants, GPs, and wider multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care for women experiencing pregnancy-related and postnatal musculoskeletal conditions. Our MSK outpatient service has a strong reputation for delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care within a positive and collaborative working environment. The team is supportive, approachable, and committed to continuous learning, with a strong emphasis on
professional development, shared expertise and service improvement. Staff are encouraged to contribute ideas, develop specialist interests and take part in audit, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives. What makes this role special is the opportunity to shape and further develop obstetric MSK physiotherapy pathways within the wider MSK service while benefiting from the support and experience of a large physiotherapy department. What you will bring to the role We are looking for an experienced and motivated clinician who will bring strong MSK expertise
and a passion for women's health into our MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy Service. You will contribute to the development and delivery of specialist obstetric MSK care within a supportive, forward-thinking team. You will bring: Advanced experience in MSK assessment and management, including obstetric and postnatal presentations Strong clinical reasoning and autonomous caseload management skills Experience working in MSK outpatient services with complex patient presentations Excellent communication and MDT working skills Experience in supervision, teaching and supporting junior staff/students Experience in service development, audit and quality improvement Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied caseload Enthusiasm for developing specialist skills within obstetric MSK physiotherapy About Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust Our values are part of what make us different from other trusts, so we see this as a strength, as well as a responsibility.
