Full Job Description
The Member Service Team of the East Riding Pension Fund have a vacancy for a part-time Senior Pensions Assistant (18.5 hours).
As a Senior Pensions Assistant, you will undertake pension calculations, maintain pension records, administer transfer values to and from other Local Authority pension schemes, deal with enquires from scheme members, employers, and other pension providers, by correspondence, email or telephone.
We offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid working. Whilst you will be required to work from our offices based in The Council Offices in Goole for your initial training, after this you'll work both in our offices for a day a week minimum and from home for the reminder as part of our hybrid working model. The successful candidate will undergo a full training programme.
You will be part of a busy team where deadlines must be met. You should have strong numeracy skills with attention to detail, be able to use your own initiative, have good organisational skills and be able to manage your own workload. Good communication skills are also essential as the section strives to provide a high level of customer service.
The section uses an IT based Local Government Pension Scheme administration system in conjunction with an electronic document management system (EDMS) and electronic workflow monitoring together with Word and Excel packages. Therefore, good IT skills together with a good standard of education are required; as a minimum you should have Maths and English GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above., You will be part of a busy team where deadlines must be met.
