Introduction
Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a passionate Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team. If you are dedicated to working with adults with mental health issues, we want to hear from you. This part-time position is based at a Local Mental Health Team covering the Broxtowe and Hucknall areas of Nottinghamshire to cover a maternity leave. Our core hours are 09:00-17:00.
Main Duties of the Job
- Conduct specific assessments, formulation, and interventions in collaboration with patients, their carers/families, and partnership organisations.
- Develop creative, goal-oriented, and time-limited occupational therapy plans.
- Join an existing dynamic multidisciplinary Local Mental Health Team.

Job Responsibilities
This role is vital for assessing and delivering treatment to patients in the Broxtowe and Hucknall area. The post involves providing a high-quality Occupational Therapy service collaboratively within patients' homes and local environments, with support from an assistant as needed. Specific details can be found in the Job Description/Specification. Professional and clinical supervision will be provided by an identified Occupational Therapist.
Note: Applicants are required to pay for their DBS check. The cost (£26.40 standard or £54.40 enhanced) will be deducted from salary over the first two months. Enrolment in the DBS Update Service is encouraged, with an annual fee of £16.
A full UK driving license and a vehicle for business use are required; however, reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered
Experience and Knowledge
- Specialist knowledge and post-registration experience in a mental health setting
- Continued professional development to maintain registration
Physical Requirements
- Physical ability to perform a full range of duties
- Experience working in community or acute mental health settings
Training
- Willingness to undertake clinical practice, education, and training to enhance service delivery
- Relevant training related to the post
