Full Job Description
The post holder will be joining an established, vibrant and friendly team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and assistant staff who share an office base and work closely together to provide a consistent and responsive Therapy service to our Elderly Medicine wards and a General Medicine ward. The team is led by an Operational Lead Therapist, Clinical Lead OT and Lead Physiotherapists. You will be required to carry a caseload independently and provide supervision and support to assist more junior OT staff and assistants as necessary. You will have experience in working with the elderly population and will be expected to play an active role in the development of the service and the individuals within the service., You will be required to carry a caseload independently and provide supervision and support to junior OT staff and assistants as necessary. You must also be adaptable, calm and be able to effectively delegate work to OT and assistant staff to ensure priorities across the service are covered. This will involve working closely with the other senior OT's and Physiotherapists,
- Support from Clinical Team Leader, Clinical lead OT and Lead Physiotherapists
- A close knit friendly environment where the development of all staff is nurtured and encouraged.
- Regular Elderly Medicine Therapy team in-service training, to which you will be asked to participate. Opportunity to develop dual competencies,
- Support to attend other appropriate training Trust commitment to CPD, annual appraisal and regular supervision. The opportunity to work across specialities, shadow and develop links with other acute and community teams.
