Senior Occupational Therapist

Please note:

• Past experience in one of the main specialisms is desirable but not essential as full training and support will be given to the right candidate., You must have excellent clinical skills, be proactive and self-motivated, but most importantly have a passion for maintaining high standards of care for our patients.
You will assess and treat a joint caseload of burns, plastics (Surgical patients such as: Amputee's, skin cancers, eye ) and head and neck patients both as inpatients on our critical care unit, high dependency unit and three wards and as outpatients in order to maximise patient recovery and function. You will attend daily handover meetings, weekly in-service training and regular MDT meetings. You will work closely with our discharge coordinator team to facilitate safe and timely discharges for our inpatients. The Burns, Plastics and Head and Neck OT/PT team at QVH consists of 10 individuals, 7 therapists and 3 rehabilitation assistants with extended skills in pressure garment fabrication.
