Role Responsibilities: What to Expect as a Senior Nursery Room Leader

• Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms.


• Lead the planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children.


• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team.


• Oversee the wellbeing and safeguarding of children, supporting children with additional needs as needed.


• Foster strong relationships with parents and keep them informed of their child's development.


• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding protocols across the centre.

Required Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.


• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Manager, or Practitioner.


• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.


• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for children and team members.
