Senior Mental Health Practitioner, Integrated Recovery Team

We are pleased to advertise 2 brand new practitioner posts in Barnsley working in the Integrated Recovery Team. The successful candidates will work in a multi agency team and will be integrated into our local substance misuse provider Waythrough. The team will attempt to work with clients in an assertive way who are difficult to engage and have co-occurring substance misuse and mental health issues. The posts are initially on a fixed term 2 year contract but this may be extended., The successful candidates will need to have excellent engagement skills and be prepared to be challenged by often complex clients who historically have been resistant to engaging with treatment. The candidates will need to have exceptional communication skills as liaison with statutory and voluntary agencies will be a key element to the post. An ability to undertake an assessment of needs and risks and complete a thorough care plan is essential.
