Full Job Description

Join our Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team and help deliver outstanding care for children and young people across the East of the county. This is an opportunity for a dynamic and proactive Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to make a real difference-working collaboratively with young people and families to improve outcomes and support recovery. If you are passionate about evidence-based practice, partnership working and positive risk management, we would love to hear from you. In this role, you will:

  • Provide high-quality assessment, treatment, consultation and guidance to the multidisciplinary team for children and young people referred to CAMHS.
  • Deliver psychosocial, evidence-based interventions using a collaborative, recovery-focused approach, with a strong emphasis on positive risk management.
  • Support, inform and actively engage families and carers throughout assessment and intervention.
  • Contribute to the development of systems and processes that enhance the ongoing care of children and young people within the service.
  • Contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, including offering supervision to colleagues as agreed with the Team Manager.
  • Work in partnership and liaise effectively with a wide range of agencies and professionals to coordinate care and improve outcomes.
  • You must hold a full UK driving licence, have permanent access to your own transport, and have appropriate business-use insurance.,
  • Undertake comprehensive mental health and neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people referred to CAMHS East
  • Deliver evidence based, psychologically informed interventions using a collaborative, recovery focused and trauma informed approach
  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with complex and high risk presentations
  • Provide consultation, advice and guidance to colleagues within CAMHS and the wider professional network
  • Contribute to positive risk assessment and risk management planning
  • Work closely with families and carers, ensuring they are supported, informed and actively involved
  • Participate in multiagency meetings, care planning and joint decision making
  • Contribute to service development, evaluation and quality improvement activity
  • Provide supervision, mentoring or informal support to junior staff, as agreed with the Team Manager
