Full Job Description
We are delighted to invite applicants to join our Emergency and Acute Care (EAC) directorate and become part of the Emergency Department and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) pharmacy team.
This post is patient-facing and involves working alongside our established clinical pharmacy team to deliver a specialised service to our ED and SDEC. You will have a key role in supporting with medicines reconciliation, counselling patients and working with the team to manage the ward automations systems, helping to ensure the effective running of the Pharmacy support with the Emergency Department and SDEC.
You will be fully supported by a team of experienced Pharmacists, Chief Medicines Management Technician, a Medicines Management Technician and Assistants., In this role you will have leadership and clinical responsibilities and will be one of the Senior Medicines Management Technicians (MMT) leading in patient care and ward automations systems management for the Emergency Department and SDEC.
You will report directly to the Chief Medicines Management Technician for ED and SDEC and assist in implementing service improvements within the department.
You will deliver patient-facing clinical pharmacy care to the ED and SDEC areas and will work closely with the EAC Specialist Clinical Pharmacists to ensure the delivery of a safe, efficient, high quality and cost effective technical service.
