Job Responsibilities
- Identifies appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of products.
- Utilizes software and other design and modeling tools to plan, develop, and improve mechanical parts or components and communicate conceptual designs and specifications to stakeholders.
- Develops solutions and solves intermediate to semi-complex problems to deliver engineering projects on-time, on-quality, and on-budget.
- Writes reports and presents work at peer and design reviews.
- May provide training and support to new team members.
- May include safety, environmental protection, and compliance considerations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and related experience or a recognized apprenticeship.
- May be required to maintain security clearance.
- Security Requirements: This role requires undergoing Baseline Personnel Security Standard Check (BPSS) at minimum, with some roles requiring further national security vetting checks.
- Candidates must provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK, and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
- Some vacancies may require full Security Clearance, which may involve additional evidence.
