Are you ready to accelerate your career with a dynamic and innovative F1 team? We have a fantastic opportunity for an exceptionally talented Mechanical Design Engineer specialised in Electrical Systems Integration to join our Electronics group within the Engineering Office at Enstone. This position will play a crucial role in helping us push for podiums and race wins. Our team is dedicated to engineering excellence, pushing the boundaries of technology and optimising performance to achieve our goals. We are built on collaboration and mutual support, fostering a vibrant, inclusive culture where your ideas and contributions are valued.
The role of our Mechanical Design Engineer - Electrical Systems Integration
- The main responsibilities are the 3D Mechanical Design and integration of all Electrical components on and off car in accordance with the F1 technical regulations. The role involves the 3D design of composites and metallic parts alongside the design and routing of complex wiring harnesses.
- You will also be using CAD data to produce components and harnesses' mechanical drawings and associated documentation to ensure the electrical components and assemblies are installed as per design intent.
- Additional activities will include working on future car programmes along with the implementation of development technologies.
Who we want:
We are looking to enhance our talented team with someone who has previous experience, ideally within F1 or another high-level motorsport. You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering and have a solid base knowledge of engineering first principles. Previous CAD experience is essential. Ideally with Catia V5/3DX and knowledge of Electrical Workbench, but we will support with training if NX or similar is your expertise. A good understanding of motorsport electrical systems is beneficial with solid knowledge of military spec connectors and harness design.
We need someone who is self-motivated, analytical, and a pragmatic decision-maker capable of working with minimal supervision. We seek someone with a creative, innovative, and consistent approach to problem-solving.
What we offer you in return:
Working for Alpine F1 Team, you will work with top professionals, directly impacting race car performance on a global stage, and enjoy our state-of-the-art facilities. We offer competitive remuneration packages, private medical healthcare, access to a free on-site gym, a subsidised restaurant and many more additional benefits.
Additionally, the thrill of pioneering innovation in Formula One racing provides numerous career development opportunities in a collaborative, inclusive environment. At Alpine F1 Team, we celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can be their true selves. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and experiences. We are committed to leading by example in promoting diversity, inclusion, and belonging in our society.
