A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Materials Engineer
- Provide technical support and materials expertise to projects.
- Assist Materials Technical Lead.
- Undertake site visits to Murphy UK projects as required.
- Provide materials training to Murphy project teams.
- Visit material suppliers to review bulk materials, perform audits, and build strong working relationships.
- Set up and manage UKAS materials testing laboratories.
- Represent the MAE team in project team meetings.
- Collect feedback on solutions and contribute to lessons learned meetings.
A Materials Engineer with detailed knowledge and experience in earthwork materials and testing, concrete technology, asphalt technology, SHW and supporting documents, and ISO 17025, waste classification and CL:AIRE protocol. - An individual with the capability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
- A strong communicator with a desire to build relationships across the company.
- Someone with a passionate approach to material innovations and value engineering.
- A professional keen to visit the company's sites and offices nationwide.
