A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Materials Engineer

• Provide technical support and materials expertise to projects.
• Assist Materials Technical Lead.
• Undertake site visits to Murphy UK projects as required.
• Provide materials training to Murphy project teams.
• Visit material suppliers to review bulk materials, perform audits, and build strong working relationships.
• Set up and manage UKAS materials testing laboratories.
• Represent the MAE team in project team meetings.
• Collect feedback on solutions and contribute to lessons learned meetings.
  
  A Materials Engineer with detailed knowledge and experience in earthwork materials and testing, concrete technology, asphalt technology, SHW and supporting documents, and ISO 17025, waste classification and CL:AIRE protocol.
• An individual with the capability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
• A strong communicator with a desire to build relationships across the company.
• Someone with a passionate approach to material innovations and value engineering.
• A professional keen to visit the company's sites and offices nationwide.
