Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit Senior Locally Employed Doctors through Bank to provide a clinical service in Orthopaedic Surgery, working closely with the consultants, junior colleagues and clinical assistants. The post holder will be accountable to the Lead Clinician.
Candidates must be eligible for their own GMC registration - MFT cannot support GMC Sponsorship for candidates who are offered permanent vacancies.
This role is offered through bank, the successful applicants must be bank registered and available for start at short notice. please note this role will not be extendable.
Applicants may be required to work at one of our MSS sites
North Manchester General Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wythenshawe Hospital or Trafford General Hospital, + The postholder is expected to develop professional and supportive working relationships with all members of the professional, nursing technical and managerial staff with whom they have work during their professional duties and to follow the Trust's Code of Ethics and Policies.
+ To provide medical and surgical care for patients in the department while in the clinics, in theatre and on the wards.
+ To work together with the respective consultants for advice and to maintain continuity of care and to follow the instructions given by Consultants in charge of each particular patient at all times.
+ To ensure that the junior staff are informed of and supported for all relevant issues regarding patients.
+ The postholder will work under supervision of a consultant but will be given the opportunity to undertake clinics and operating lists independently if the appropriate competencies are met
+ Supporting activities will include clinical governance, audit, teaching, journal club, research meetings, MDTs and management and will be programmed in agreement with the Clinical Director.
+ To participate in the registrar of the day and on-call rotas
