Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity in paediatric haematology and stem cell transplant and gene therapy as a Senior Resident Doctor at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital., This is a clinical paediatric haematology, and BMT position. The majority of time will be spent in the clinical leukaemia and BMT service. There will be opportunities to participate in teaching, research and quality improvement project. It is expected that this position will reflect the training ambition and needs of the locally employed doctor as well as clinical need/ balance within the department. On call cover of the wider department will be expected.

The successful candidate will be required to participate in 24-hour cover (including overnight resident on call). All paediatric junior/ middle grade staff are on this rota, and research fellows will also be contributing to out of hours cover. There are 12 Senior trainees/ fellows on this rota with a parallel junior trainee rota. All Rotas are EWTD Compliant.
