Summary

This is a Permanent post working full-time.

The post holder will contribute to, and lead on the education, support and preparation of social work students across our pre and post qualifying social work programmes. The successful candidate will have social work professional experience and hold a teaching award or demonstrable experience of teaching. The role involves contributing to and taking the lead on the design and planning of modules, and teaching and assessment of social work students across our pre and post qualifying social work programmes. Additionally, the post holder will initially co-lead on our social work placement coordination and development activities across our programmes and partner local authorities.

The social work department is committed to meeting the needs of students with Welsh language skills, as well as contributing to developing Welsh in social care. Welsh language skills, or a commitment to learning Welsh, are essential for this post.

The post holder may also contribute to wider faculty and university committees and to external engagement such as conferences, public engagement, student recruitment activities as part of any planned professional development activity, and/or to further the social work profession.
