Senior Lecturer BA (Hons) Visual Effects

We are seeking a dynamic degree-level Senior Lecturer to join our team and support the continued development, direction and growth of the programme. The person we appoint will work within the Stage and Screen Faculty. Skills and experience may include areas such as visual effects production, compositing, CGI, environment creation, motion capture, camera tracking, procedural effects, virtual production, digital content creation, pipeline development, or related areas of contemporary VFX practice. Essential to this role are excellent administrative, planning, and organisational skills, as you will take responsibility and lead in areas such as module leadership, assessment of student progress and attendance. You will collaborate with colleagues on the implementation of assessment procedures, contributing towards the growth of the programme. We are looking for someone with relevant industry experience and professional contacts, as well as knowledge of current technologies, workflows and professional practice within the visual effects and wider screen industries. Experience of working collaboratively across creative disciplines and engaging with industry partners would be particularly valuable. Higher education teaching experience would be desirable.
