Full Job Description

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust as the Trust Medication Safety and Medicines Governance Lead.

In this pivotal role, you will be the named Medication Safety Officer (MSO) for the Trust, responsible for overseeing and enhancing medication safety and governance across all services.

You will also play a key role in developing and delivering strategic plans aligned with both local and national priorities, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality.

This is a fantastic development opportunity for a senior pharmacist to work closely with the Chief Pharmacist., As a trusted expert, you will provide specialist advice and support to the Chief Pharmacist, Associate Chief Pharmacist, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Nursing, and other key stakeholders.

The role also includes line management responsibility for the Band 8a Lead Pharmacist for Elderly Care.
