Full Job Description

To assume responsibility for managing finished goods and component end-of-life through collaboration with internal cross-functional teams to achieve the goal of minimising negative P&L impacts. Liaising with Brand and Sales leaders to identify commercial opportunities for finished goods, components and point of sales activities from ideation through to the products being sold. Fostering strong internal relationships at all levels to ensure achievement of business targets and me
trics.
In parallel, the role plays a key part in developing and embedding best practice Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes to support ongoing control, governance and reporting of inventory ageing, obsolescence and writ
e-offs.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIB
ILITIES
Inventory/Stock Aged & Life-Cycle ManagementWork with Brand Leadership, Sales and Commercial teams to identify alternative uses and recovery routes for obsolete or surplus stock, including:Secondary and clearance sales channelsExport or alternative market opportunitiesPromotional bundles, gift sets or composite productsOne-off or limited-edition reworked SKUsLead the monthly Aged/End-of-Life Stock Review meetings with the relevant business partners, ensuring clarity of status, actions, and reporting.Ensure the timely and successful creation of one-off product projects to utilise excess or obsolete components, creating saleable SKU if/where required.Manage the internal commercial team's commitments to take/sell end-of-life and/or composite products, ensuring activities/projects are c
ompleted.
Compliance, Quality & Regulatory GovernancePartner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure that all proposed lifecycle solutions:Comply with applicable legislation and regulatory requirementsMeet brand, quality and safety standardsAre suitable for the intended market and sales channelEnsure regulatory constraints (ingredients, labelling, batch coding, market authorisations) are fully assessed before
execution.
SAP Transactional Ownership &; ExecutionExecute and manage all SAP transactions required to implement approved lifecycle outcomes, including:Creation or amendment of Bills of Material (BOMs) for reworked or composite productsRaising and managing purchase orders where additional materials or services are requiredCreation, release and tracking of production orders where rework or repacking is requiredEnsure stock movements, consumption and postings are accurate, auditable and aligned with finance requirements.Act as the SAP subject matter coordinator for lifecycle-related inventor
y activity.
Destruction, Write-Off &; GovernanceIdentify inventory where no viable secondary or rework solution exists.Prepare clear, data-led business cases for destruction or write-off approval, including:Stock quantities and valuesAgeing and impairment exposureOptions considered and rationale for disposalCoordinate approved destruction activities with Warehouse, Finance and third-party partners, ensuring full documentation and audit compliance.SKILLSProactive approach to problem solving with a starter-finisher approach.Strong communication and relationship management skills across all levels of leadership.Proven track record of managing data related projects within a similar or global FMCG environment.Ability to analyse and interpret data to identify stock risk and sales opportunities.Analytical and reporting skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of data management formulas such as Vlookup and P
ivot tables.
