Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Directorate's Information Governance Team for an experienced Information Governance professional to join us as Primary Care Support & Information Governance Assurance Lead on a secondment basis to provide maternity cover until31 May 2027. This is a key role supporting the delivery of Information Governance and Primary Care programmes across NHS Wales. Working closely with the Primary Care Support and Information Governance Assurance Manager and Head of Information Governance, you will help ensure the successful implementation,monitoringand assurance of a range of Information Governance work programmes. You will also contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the Welsh Information Governance Toolkit. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Information Governance principles, including Data Protection, Confidentiality and Information Assurance, together with experience of leading or supporting Information Governance-related projects and work programmes., We are committed to supporting flexible ways of working and welcome applications from individuals seeking part-time, job share and/or other flexible working arrangements.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.,

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in an Information Governance role.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering Information Governance work programmes and initiatives.
  • Sound knowledge of Information Governance legislation,standardsand best practice, including UK GDPR and Data Protection requirements.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholderengagementand organisational skills.
  • Desirable Requirements
  • Recognised qualification in Data Protection or a related Information Governance discipline.
  • Experience of working within the NHS or a healthcare environment.
