Full Job Description
This role will sit within the Analytics arm of the Trusts Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Project. The post holder will be responsible for the testing and reconciliation of a wide range of data.
The role will also be responsible for the creation of reports within Power BI, SSRS, Excel and other software to ensure the Trust can report key performance indicators prior to and on Go Live. The data being used will be across ED, Inpatients, Outpatients, Theatres, RTT and many others so will provide an opportunity to be involved in all facets of data reporting at the Trust.
This is an opportunity to help shape the reporting within the Trust and provides a wide range of opportunities.
You will need a keen eye for detail and a high level of resilience to work through complex datasets providing robust testing and validation techniques to ensure that the data in the new EPR system meets the highest of data quality standards.
You will liaise with many stakeholders across the Trust and externally so will need to have the ability to explain complex datasets. You will be required to think laterally when it comes to problem solving and work with others to find the best solution.
If you have a keen eye for detail, enjoy problem solving and can interpret user requirements from initial idea to a final output then this role would be one for you.
Specific NHS experience is key for this role to ensure work can begin immediately on the project.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be directly involved in complex pieces of work to help the Trust in ensuring information is available to provide General Managers, Trust Execs and external bodies with timely and accurate information to help in decision making on key performance metrics pre and post Go Live of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR).
The post holder will also have an expert knowledge of matters relating to a specific area such as but not limited to; Income generation with National Tariff, Elective Pathway management (such as Referral To Treatment), Emergency Pathway Management, the delivery of projects relating to new ways of working and change, and the interrogation and analysis of service specific systems with a high level of understanding around data quality and assurance.
The post holder should be able to advise staff within the Information Department, EPR Project and others within the Trust on areas of change that are occurring and areas of potential issue and the impact this will have by using high level statistical analysis.
The post holder will conduct detailed testing and reconciliation of large and complex datasets providing assurance to the EPR Project on the accuracy of all reports produced within the Information Department as well as the creation of new reports using different software packages such as Power BI.
