Senior IAPT Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

We are looking for a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our long-established NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression team in North Tyneside. You will be part of the overall Senior Team and provide clinical leadership within the low intensity element of the service. Our staff are our biggest asset, their dedication is inspiring and we value and support them greatly., The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership to Low Intensity Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP's), LI Supervisors and Trainee PWP's. If successful, you will be involved in the quality improvement and development of low intensity therapy delivery within the NHS Talking Therapies element of the service.

This will involve opportunities to improve our clinical delivery, supervision and Continuing Professional Development Programme based on a sound evidence base as well as innovative ideas.

You will also maintain your own low intensity practice providing assessment and treatment for people presenting with common mental health problems, within the NHS Talking Therapies framework.

You will work closely with the NHS Talking Therapies Clinical Lead to develop innovative positive clinical change, and help the service achieve high quality clinical care, meeting the national Talking Therapies key performance indicators.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres.
