Full Job Description
The Emergency Department is a very busy unit dealing with medical , surgical and emergency patients HCA'S within our department are an integral part of our team ,but must be confident in managing their own workload. Working in The Emergency Department is extremely rewarding and interesting , and as a HCA you will work in all areas of our department. HCA'S in the Emergency Department have a varied role , and there all always opportunities for further learning, The main duties of the job include:
- Supporting the trained nursing team
- Providing personal care to all our patients
- Providing food and drink to all our patients, dealing with food and kitchen hygiene
- Ensuring the Emergency Department is clean and tidy at all times
- Completing any clinical tasks requested ie )venepuncture , cannulation ECG monitoring
