Senior Financial Analyst, UK Customer Fulfilment Finance

Date Posted: 2026-08-22

Location: South East England, GB, KT19 8GY

Application Deadline: 2026-09-21 at 14:05:47.563

Description

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who is excited to join a tech company that is constantly improving and reimagining the logistics industry. Our candidate should be passionate about using data to solve big, complex, and ambiguous problems. The ideal candidate should be eager to continuously learn and improve their skills. You should be attentive to details that make a significant difference.

Do you want to contribute to shaping the new standard of shopping? If so, come and join the Customer Fulfillment Finance Team.

Learning Opportunities

  • Autonomy to innovate and deliver new approaches that impact the operations of the business

  • Learn from an inspiring and diverse team

  • Growth in a fast-paced environment where every day is day one

  • Learn from people with a wide variety of professional backgrounds

  • Ability to develop new skills and opportunities through lateral, geographical, or functional moves

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Independently identify and drive cost-out opportunities across multiple Fulfillment nodes by connecting operational performance metrics to financial outcomes — defining the analytical framework where one may not exist.

  • Navigate complex, ambiguous cost structures with limited or incomplete data — exercising senior judgment to size opportunities, quantify trade-offs, and recommend actions to leadership with confidence.

  • Lead root cause analysis on systemic issues spanning multiple sites or programmes, uncovering underlying drivers and designing scalable measurement frameworks that raise the bar on site productivity.

  • Serve as a trusted strategic partner to senior operational leaders — proactively influencing decisions on investment, capacity, and cost strategy rather than responding to requests.

  • Own the end-to-end relationship with data source providers and technology teams — driving automation roadmaps, defining data quality standards, and ensuring decision-grade data is available at pace.

  • Identify and champion process improvements across the wider finance organization — codifying best practices, raising the analytical standard for peers and junior analysts.

A Day in the Life

You will mainly focus on performance metrics of Amazon fulfillment centers in the EU. You will own daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, participate in productivity reviews, and travel across Continental Europe to visit other similar Amazon sites. This will help you understand differences and, based on data analysis and your gained knowledge, steer senior leadership in the right direction.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree

  • Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles, or experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Power Query, Python), or experience in Excel (macros, index, conditional lists, arrays, pivots, lookups)

  • Experience with financial analysis and modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field

  • Experience identifying and resolving complex issues

  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic organization

  • Experience developing customer relationships and influencing key decision-makers
