Senior Financial Analyst, Amazon Leo

Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Amazon's long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world? It's Day 1 for Amazon's next billion dollar business and we are looking for an analytically-minded Senior Financial Analyst to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology, who thinks/acts globally, who thrives in ambiguous and fast-paced environments, and who has the ability to develop solutions to business questions. The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial by nature, analytical in approach, have a demonstrated ability to develop financial models that provide intelligence for business decisions and able to leverage their project management skills to support business objectives. This role requires a self-starter with good business modelling skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited oversight, and a track record of supporting the business with data-driven insights. The candidate must have the aptitude to learn and incorporate new approaches and methodologies (including statistical concepts) while dealing with big data, actively leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and analysis, and be able to help define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions.,

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of long-range financial models to project and evaluate business performance against key goals and metrics, delivering with limited guidance
• Perform financial analysis of go-to-market strategies - including pricing, customer acquisition, and partnership economics - translating data into clear findings and recommendations
• Build and maintain reusable revenue and cost models, tools, and templates that scale repeatable analysis across countries and business lines
• Coordinate financial calendar deliverables (e.g., OP1/OP2, QBR inputs) and build performance metrics, surfacing key call-outs and drivers for finance and business-partner reviews
• Perform month-end-close activities - variance analysis, accrual creation, and documentation for recurring finance reviews - proactively diving deep to ensure reporting accuracy and resolve data discrepancies
• Independently deliver projects with limited oversight to improve controllership, scale processes, or add value, documenting SOPs to share knowledge across the team
  
  Bachelor's degree
• Experience in commercial finance business partnering or FP&A
• Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
• Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, MBA, or CPA
• Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
