Full Job Description

Introduction

Corvedale Equestrian are looking for an experienced and reliable Yard Groom to join our busy dressage yard. They currently have around 45 horses on site, including liveries and breeding horses, with stallions on site. The successful applicant must be experienced with horses and confident working independently.

Corvedale Equestrian is an established dressage, training, livery and breeding business based in the Worcestershire area.

The business is run by Mark Walters and Nick Lawson, who bring extensive experience in dressage, coaching, horse training and horsemanship. Their aim is to provide a calm, knowledgeable and supportive environment centred around high standards of horse care and individual development.



What You'll Do

  • Mucking out/keeping yard area tidy
  • Feeding/filling hay nets and water buckets
  • Turning in and out
  • Picking out feet/rugging up
  • Grooming/tacking up
  • Tack cleaning
  • Bathing/show prep
  • Lunging/long reining
  • Holding for farrier/vet/dentist


Training Outcome

Full-time employment for the right candidate.

Working Arrangements

Working Week: The usual start time is 7:30am, although this can be flexible for the right candidate. The yard operates on a rota basis, with shifts changing depending on shows, competitions and the requirements of the yard, so flexibility is important.

Expected Duration: 1 Year 6 Months
