Full Job Description
Responsible for all engineering duties and ensuring the engineers under your control complete their duties. Educate and mentor the engineering team.
Produce RAMS, temporary works briefs, ITPs, weekly progress and planning updates, NCRs, TQs and early warnings.
Manage low-complexity or short-duration projects such as pre-construction site investigation/survey activities and enabling works.
Accountable for site SHE performance and quality performance, ensuring standards of workmanship and documentation.
Lead the production, review and monitoring of construction methodology documentation, including RAMS and ITPs, to ensure compliance with the company's quality management system.
Produce and maintain as-built documentation, including accurate records such as diaries, photographs and marked-up drawings.
Forecast materials, oversee procurement and reconciliation of supplies.
Collaborate with the supply chain during construction, reviewing progress and coordinating feedback.
Handle RFIs, conduct buildability reviews of design information, and implement the inspection and test plan for your section of the works.
Ensure that for-construction drawings are available and checked at least two weeks before implementation.
Support the implementation of the quality management system, adhering to quality policies and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Degree, HNC or equivalent in civil engineering (desirable).
3-5 years of relevant experience.
Excellent communication skills with client representatives, site team and operatives.
Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion.
Strong IT knowledge, including AUTOCAD and Microsoft Office suite.
Driving licence.
Suitable for full Security clearance and UK National status.
