Full Job Description
Following an exciting service restructure, we are creating a new audit team to work alongside our established Internal Audit teams. As part of this development, we are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to work across all audit and investigation teams, supporting a wide range of collaborative projects and initiatives. Together, we're building a dynamic, forward-thinking service that plays a vital role in supporting not only the Council but also a wide range of valued external clients. As the Senior Data Analyst, you will:
- Act as Internal Audit's team expert on data analysis and continuous testing allowing the team to make data driven recommendations.
- Identify, collect, and analysis complex data to identify trends, anomalies and risks
- Advance the Internal Audit Service's efficiency and effectiveness by championing automation and the use of digital solutions.
A data-driven professional with strong analytical, ideally within internal audit or a similar environment. - A confident communicator and collaborator who can translate complex data into clear insights and work effectively with stakeholders across all levels.
- A strategic thinker and innovator with experience in developing data analytics tools, driving continuous audit improvements, and coach others to adopt new working practices.
Salary £44,711 - £49,764 pro rata per annum | Permanent, Part-time, 18 hours per week | County Hall, Preston, Why join us?
