As part of a highly regarded Business Intelligence function, you'll transform complex datasets into meaningful insights, leveraging modern tools such as Azure and Power BI to influence services and support a period of significant transformation, including local government restructuring. You'll help drive the development of high-quality management and performance information that supports both strategic and operational decision-making.

  • Lead the design and delivery of high-quality management information and performance reporting across Adults' Health and Care.
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyse complex datasets using SQL Server.
  • Design and build engaging and visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for a range of stakeholders.
  • Capture business requirements and develop specifications for reporting solutions.
  • Combine and analyse data from multiple sources to create unified datasets.

    Join our Adults and Children's Shared Services Performance Improvement Team as a highly skilled, motivated, and forward-thinking Senior Data Analyst, and play a pivotal role in delivering insight and intelligence across the Adults' Health and Care Directorate. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to apply your analytical expertise in a position where data directly informs decisions that improve outcomes for vulnerable residents., Significant experience in an IT support environment, with strong expertise in relational databases and complex SQL queries (e.g. SQL Server).
  • Previous experience of working within local government or Health with an understanding of the nature of public services delivery particular in a social care or health setting.
  • Proven expertise in Power BI, including Power Query and Power Automate.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyse large, complex datasets.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, database design, and data structures.
  • Ability to communicate technical insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to solve problems, innovate, and work independently under pressure.
