The Role
Our new Senior Agriculture Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of agriculture at Sofina Foods. This newly created position offers the opportunity to influence strategy, strengthen customer and producer relationships, and lead the continued development of Sofina Connect, our industry-leading partnership programme. Working across customers, farmers and internal teams, you'll develop collaborative solutions that improve sustainability, animal welfare and supply chain resilience. Whether you're engaging with producers on-farm, partnering with major retail customers or identifying opportunities for innovation, you'll have a direct impact on the future of food production.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the ongoing development of the Sofina Connect programme across its six strategic pillars.
- Build strong partnerships with customers, farmers and industry stakeholders.
- Develop governance, reporting and performance measures to maximise programme impact.
- Act as the primary contact for customer engagement, programme reviews and communications.
- Support producers in driving continuous improvement across sustainability, welfare and resilience.
- Lead the onboarding of new suppliers, including contracts, compliance and data-sharing processes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the programme in line with customer expectations and industry trends.
- Represent Sofina at customer meetings, supplier visits and industry events.
The Ideal Candidate
You are an experienced agricultural professional who enjoys building trusted relationships and creating practical solutions that benefit everyone across the supply chain. You'll have:
- Experience within agriculture, livestock production or agri-food supply chains.
- Strong knowledge of pig production and modern agricultural challenges.
- Experience managing complex programmes, projects or customer partnerships.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness with a passion for sustainability and continuous improvement.
- Confidence analysing data and turning insight into action.
- The ability to influence at all levels and build long-term collaborative partnerships.
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
