This is a great opportunity to join Hardwick Hall as our Senior Communications and Marketing Officer on a fixed-term maternity cover, where you'll play a vital role in bringing our conservation work to life through compelling content, leading the delivery of our communications and marketing plan, and providing visible, hands-on leadership to grow audiences and support ambitious plans for visitor experience, engagement and impact. What it's like to work here The team at Hardwick Hall and Stainsby Mill are passionate about connecting people with one of the National Trust's most significant places. Set within a historic estate shaped by the legacy of Bess of Hardwick, the property combines internationally important heritage with ambitious plans for growth and restoring nature. This role is offered on a Full Time, Fixed Term Basis to 20-Sept-2026. The successful candidate will be primarily based on-site and will be required to work some weekends and bank holidays. They may also be included in the Duty Management rota. What you'll be doing As our Senior Communications & Marketing Officer, you'll lead the development and delivery of the communications and marketing plan for Hardwick Hall, ensuring it supports business objectives and connects people with our work as a conservation charity. You'll create and coordinate compelling, audience-focused content across a range of channels, from digital platforms and social media to on-site interpretation and PR activity. Working closely with the regional consultancy, you'll help promote the property's programme and wider offer, ensuring our stories reach and resonate with visitors, local communities and wider audiences. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues across the property to understand audiences, support programming, and ensure our communications are consistent, engaging and aligned with the National Trust brand. You'll also play a role in managing reputation, supporting PR activity, and contributing to national and regional campaigns, bringing them to life at Hardwick.
