Working Pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday as a non-working day. This role is eligible for hybrid working, usually involving three days onsite in a long week and two days onsite in a short week. The Senior Commercial Performance Manager is responsible for ensuring that Commercial functional performance is measured and reported accurately, reflecting its role in supporting the delivery of the AWE Business Plan.

This role involves making key information visible and accessible to Commercial leadership and the AWE executive team, maintaining accountability, and highlighting opportunities, issues, and challenges in delivering the Commercial strategy supporting AWE's mission. The position reports to the Principal Commercial Performance, Insights & Reporting Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the team to develop reporting cadences for Commercial functions and leadership, providing ad hoc support, and coordinating inputs with strategic narratives.


• Monitoring performance against the Commercial strategy, identifying improvement opportunities, challenges, and remedial actions.


• Ensuring accurate Commercial pipeline reporting to facilitate planning, external reporting, and prioritisation.


• Establishing and maintaining the Commercial reporting framework for key programmes and projects vital to AWE's mission.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.


• Proven professional experience, especially in Procurement or Commercial functions.


• Experience designing or managing commercial performance frameworks.


• Experience supporting senior stakeholders and engaging with C-suite level leaders.


• Ability to work cross-functionally, report effectively, and interpret data insights.


• Strong analytical skills and storytelling with data.


• Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience in working cross functionally and being able to report and draw insights cross functionally to understand one clear view of performance. A natural analytical thinker with ability to align business priorities to commercial outcomes. Data analysis and storytelling skills. Comfortable with a degree of ambiguity and changing priorities.
