Full Job Description
- To ensure that all Commercial activity within your area of responsibility is performed to the highest standards, conforms to EU Procurement Regulations and Leidos Policies and Procedures and is monitored to ensure continuous improvement with the overall aim of obtaining best value for money
- To proactively participate in development and implementation of Category Strategies to ensure these fully satisfy LSL requirements
- To ensure all ITTs/ITNs, contracts etc are drafted to the highest quality, to drive best practice and focus on delivery of benefit, on time delivery and quality
- To negotiate contractual terms, conditions and prices within approved delegations for Procurement activity with a view to delivering against the Benefits Realisation Plan
- Maintain professional standards and provide commercial support and advice to staff, stakeholders and customers
- To drive the SRM process for the Clothing areas to ensure all contracts are managed effectively and strong working relationships with both contractor, customer and colleagues are developed where necessary
- To set targets and objectives for the Clothing areas, working with the Head of Delivery, and monitoring achievement against these targets
- Ensure Commercial MI is accurate, up to date and submitted on time.
- To actively contribute to the development of LSL tools, processes and procedures thereby supporting Team Leidos transformation and continuous improvement
- Continuing Professional and Personal Development to ensure currency with EU and Commercial Procurement practices and Regulations and maximise contribution to the business
- Manage self and staff iaw Leidos HR policies ensuring compliance with performance management requirements and timescales
- Mentor junior staff within LSL to facilitate their personal and professional development
- Trained in, and fully observant of, Good Distribution Practice (PGD) obligations and best practices
Leidos is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Commercial Manager for the Defence Clothing within Leidos Supply Ltd. Providing commercial support and advice to both team members and other stakeholders., Extensive Commercial Procurement experience - Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (or related field) or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (MCIPS)
- Experience of public sector procurement, including application of EU Regulations
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
- Full Driving Licence
- APMP or other project management qualification
