Full Job Description

We are a busy 31 to 41 bedded Acute Medical Unit that deals with a range of medical conditions. We receive patients directly from A&E, the Medical Receiving Unit and other areas of the hospital.

There is a high turnover of patients and a fast pace of work and we have high expectations regarding the quality of care provided to our patients. The care we provide has a focus of compassion & competence in order to give our patients the best possible care we can.

It is important to give you a supernumerary period to ensure that you have time to orientate yourself to your new environment., We are the specialist centre for major trauma for the North Midlands and North Wales. We have put together a wide range of development packages aimed at ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their potential. Our goal is to be a world-class centre of achievement, where patients receive the highest standards of care and the best people come to learn, work and research.

In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.
