Senior Clinical Support Worker

The Medical Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) is currently undergoing a dynamic and positive phase of development and transformation. As part of this exciting journey, we are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Band 3 Clinical Support Workers to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide essential clinical care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. You will be expected to carry out a range of delegated clinical duties, applying and further developing the skills required within the clinical setting. These duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Recording patient observations
• Performing ECG monitoring
• Conducting urinalysis and pregnancy testing
• Undertaking bladder scanning
• Performing venepuncture (training will be provided)
• Supporting patients ADLs
Accurate, timely, and comprehensive documentation of all clinical activities is essential. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of record-keeping within the nursing documentation. Excellent communication skills are vital, as the role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and communicating effectively with patients and their families. We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time positions. Please note that the role requires flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and nights.


• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or Level 2 Functional Skills for Maths and English.
If you hold overseas GCSE equivalent qualifications, you will need to bring an ECCTIS comparability statement for you GCSE equivalent qualifications along with your original certificate
• A Full Care CertificateORNVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (we can only accept NVQ's from a regulated awarding body).
