Full Job Description

The post-holder is required to provide safe, effective and timely diagnostic vascular ultrasound services to the Cardiff & Vale University Health Board and General Practitioners as directed. This will involve the use of complex imaging and measurement equipment for direct patient assessment; theywill assume a high degree of autonomy, taking direct responsibility for reporting the results of the investigation to referring clinicians and advising the patient on the appropriate course of action. They will also be expected to provide scientific and clinical support in the areas of vascular ultrasound, participate in the research and development activities of the Section, contributing to the teaching and training of staff and students.

Participating in the provision of a safediagnostic vascular ultrasound service. Performing highly specialistinvestigations appropriate forLevel 7 of the Healthcare Science Career framework, including within the Department and outpatient clinics, andportable scans.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
