Senior Clinical Psychologist

We are delighted to introduce psychology across our all-age Home Treatment Teams as part of the service delivery model designed to enhance community-based crisis care and improve outcomes for people over 18 years who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and develop psychology provision within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, bringing a psychological perspective to crisis intervention, recovery-focused care, and admission avoidance pathways. As a newly established role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence service development, strengthen psychological leadership within the team, and contribute to the future direction of home treatment services.

As the Senior Psychologist within the team, you will be providing expert psychological assessment, formulation, and interventions for people who are experiencing an acute mental health crisis and their families. Your psychologically informed interventions will support recovery, resilience, and wellbeing, helping individuals to better understand and manage their difficulties. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support people to remain at home during a crisis and facilitate timely discharges from hospital where appropriate., Promoting health and independence for people who use our services and their carers/support staff by delivering high quality psychology assessments, formulation and interventions; providing consultation, supervision and guidance to band 7s, trainees, assistant psychologists and others as required.
