Full Job Description
We are looking to recruit kind, caring and compassionate Senior Clinical Nurse - Adult Day Servicewho is interested in being part of the Dorset All Age Eating Disorders Service (DAEDS) team offering treatment and care to adults with an eating disorder who are attending the Adult Day Service.
Experience of caring for people with an eating disorder in a mental health setting is essential, empathy towards those who have an eating disorder imperative. The ability to work effectively and dynamically in a busy and demanding setting with strong leadership skills vital.
We promote learning and development, and all staff are encouraged and supported throughout their career to grow and develop. We provide an initial induction, in-house and other training opportunities, plus clinical and management supervision. Your continuous professional development will be planned and tailored to your needs together with support to achieve your personal objectives set via annual appraisal.
The Adult Day Service is open 10am to 8pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
This vacancy is for 37.5 worked across the hours of 9.30am to 8pm.
A review of the service has recently been undertaken, and the Adult Day Service may increase its opening days in the future., To assist the Clinical Manager - Adult Day Service in providing the highest quality treatment and care to people with an eating disorder, their family/carers.
To carry out day to day leadership responsibilities, in conjunction with the Clinical Manager - Adult Day Service.
As a senior clinician within an MDT, actively lead and contribute to the delivery of the highest quality eating disorders treatment and care.
To support the Clinical Manager by demonstrating strong clinical leadership of nurses, mental health support workers and other colleagues working across the Day Service
To support the Clinical Manager by demonstrating strong risk management knowledge and skill, leading by example and promoting risk management policy and procedures to the team/Kimmeridge Court.
Deliver evidence-based treatment interventions, on a one-to-one and group basis to promote recovery from eating disorders.
