Full Job Description

We have two vacancies at ST3+ grade working on the current registrar ward and on call rota. There are also a number of clinics including specialist clinics in lupus, vasculitis, pre-pregnancy and glomerular disease, which the post holder will be expected to participate in. Being a large nephrology and transplant centre, there is also plenty of opportunity to increase experience in practical procedures, including renal transplant and native biopsies and tunnelled lines.

Given the diverse scope of clinical work at Guys in transplantation, nephrology and dialysis, this is an excellent post to gain training and increase clinical experience in all of these areas.

Generally these with be on Richard Bright (renal transplant ward), Patience (acute nephrology and dialysis ward), procedures (renal biopsy and tunnelled line insertion), haemodialysis and Renal Rapid Access Clinic cover, St Thomas' Hospital referral cover and clinic cover.

The post holder will be responsible to the on call consultant on the ward, and will be expected to work well as part of the multidisciplinary team with close liaison with the transplant surgical team.
