Full Job Description
The trainee will havehands on opportunitiesto develop skills inPaediatric Critical care proceduressuch asendotrachealintubation, invasive venous and arterial lines, chest drains and other essential procedures. They will have access toourgeneralpaediatrics regular teaching program in additiontoin-housePCC educational activities.Our middle grade rota on PCC also includestwo advanced nurse practitioners (ANPs) who supportresearch activities,simulationand educational activities on PCC. PCC at UHNM is an active research centre and continuesto partake in national on-going researchprojects. PCC runs in-house and regional vascular ultrasound courses, NIV days and HDU courses. PCC alsoconducts regular in-house simulation having access to high fidelity SIM mannequins. PCC is supported by a full-time nurse educator. PCC workclosely with our excellentPaediatricRespiratory team, Paediatric LTV team and complex care teams.
