Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine

This is a new middle grade position as Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine with the potential to consolidate their experience in Emergency Medicine. Alongside developing their clinical skills the post will allow the applicant to develop Ultrasound and Research skills. This department has a strong link to ultrasound training and teaching and will provide support to interested candidates to achieve Level 1 & Level 2 Ultrasound skills. This post will also allow you to take part in the active research and quality improvement programs within the department. Many of the research projects have been presented in international conferences and also published.,

• You will be part of the multidisciplinary clinical team as middle grade in the Emergency Department.
• Provide high quality care, knowledge, and skill for the patients either directly or by supervision and floor management of the junior clinical staff
• To maintain the standards of the College of Emergency Medicine and the West Suffolk Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
• To assume clinical responsibility for patients brought to the department by the emergency services, self-referring or referred by GP
• You are expected to deal with unexpected emergencies including those resulting from infectious diseases like COVID-19
• To be part of Trauma Team co-ordinated management of major trauma
• To be immediately available for opinion, guidance and advice on any patient seen by a junior clinician in the ED at any time during the rostered duty shift
