Full Job Description
- Actively participate in all aspects of imaging within the department including leading CT and MRI lists. This includes administration of beta blockade, supervising stress examinations and 1st reporting all types of imaging examinations. Supervision of and support for the Radiographic team
Royal Papworth Hospital is the Regional centre for cardiothoracic services and has a reputation for innovation and research. Specialist services include pulmonary hypertension, transplantation, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, thoracic oncology and cardiothoracic surgery. The radiology department is very well equipped with state of the art equipment including two Siemens Force CT scanners, and 1.5/3.0T MRIs for cardiac work. The post will provide excellent experience in all aspects of cardiac and thoracic radiology. There are opportunities for research. Radiology Cardiothoracic Fellowship/StR Post One post is available for a period of 12 months commencing September 2026. The post is suitable for trainees who hold a current NTN. Those who are interested without an NTN, or who are post CCT could be appointed as a LAS or Trust Clinical Fellow. Specialist Registrars currently enrolled in a UK training programme (other than the East of England Deanery), who will be within 5 years when starting and wish to retain their National Training Number (NTN) whilst at Papworth, should discuss 'out-of-programme-training' (OOPT) with their Training Programme Director., Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the UK's leading heart and lung hospital, delivering care to more than 50,000 patients a year in its new state-of-the-art hospital in Cambridge.
