Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Senior Clinical Fellow to join our team of Consultants and SAS doctors responsible for the provision of anaesthetics at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB). The post is based at Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil but the post holder will be required to work across other acute hospitals should the need arise., The Senior Clinical Fellow is an important member of the department. The post holder will be encouraged to be involved in teaching, audit, research and QI projects. The successful post holder will have a good blend of independence and support from the consultant body.
The post holder will participate in a 1:8 full shift rota pattern with prospective cover. This rota covers Obstetrics out of hours and a wide range of sub-specialty elective work during the normal working day. In order to be considered applicants must have at least three years experience in Anaesthetics including a minimum of six months experience in Obstetrics. Applicants must have also passed the Primary FRCA or equivalent.
These are the current applicable pay scales; however, these may change upon implementation of the framework agreement for reform to the terms and conditions of service for resident doctors and dentists in Wales. Further details can be found at BMA+-+Framework+Agreement+Wales.
