Senior Cleaning Supervisor

To lead, manage, and support the cleaning team to deliver high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across the site. The Senior Supervisor ensures compliance with service specifications, health & safety regulations, and client expectations while maintaining efficient staffing and operational performance., Team Leadership & Supervision

Supervise and support cleaning staff / site supervisors on a daily basis
Allocate duties and manage workloads across all areas
Conduct inductions, training, and ongoing development of staff
Promote a positive, professional team culture
Operational Management

Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to agreed standards and schedules
Carry out regular site inspections and quality audits
Manage stock levels of cleaning materials, equipment, and consumables
Ensure correct use and maintenance of cleaning equipment
Coordinate periodic and deep cleaning programmes
Staffing & Attendance

Manage rotas and shift patterns to meet site requirements
Handle staff absence, arranging cover to maintain service levels
Maintain accurate attendance records
Health & Safety Compliance

Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and COSHH requirements
Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work are followed
Investigate and report accidents, incidents, or near misses
Ensure correct use of PPE at all times
Client & Communication

Act as a key point of contact for the client on site
Respond promptly to client requests, feedback, and complaints
Provide regular updates and reports to management
Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained
Administration & Reporting

Maintain cleaning schedules, checklists, and audit records
Complete timesheets, reports, and compliance documentation

Proven experience in a cleaning supervisory or senior role
Strong leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals
Understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends if required
Qualifications (Desirable):

Cleaning
Health & Safety certification (e.g., IOSH or equivalent)
COSHH training
