Full Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the CDOP and safeguarding team and provide a highly efficient specialist Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) and safeguarding business, secretarial and administrative support to a wide range of meetings and functions across the CDOP team, including highly sensitive and confidential information.

Maintain an oversight of the CDOP and safeguarding team members diaries, work plans etc and work in partnership to coordinate and plan a variety of activities whilst also completing own work and coordination of the work of others.

Support the delivery of statutory safeguarding and child death review functions involving highly sensitive and confidential information., Work with NHS HIOW's Safeguarding Children Team to managing the effective running of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) and the delivery of excellent outcomes in reducing the number of child deaths across NHS HIOW and the 4 Local Authorities.

Provide assistance and advice to a wide variety of stakeholders as required, signposting to the Designated Professionals if necessary. To ensure that work is completed in line with timescales and legal requirements and that issues and concerns are escalated when required in an appropriate and timely manner.

Be the first point of contact with multi-agency partners. Deal with telephone calls and email enquiries in an efficient, empathetic an sensitive manner. Using own initiative and knowledge of safeguarding to process and signpost these, finding resolutions where applicable and escalating when appropriate.
