Senior Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist / Clinical Psychologist

We are delighted to offer two part-time posts (0.5 WTE), across two specialist services with an established partnership - for either post individually or combined for a fixed term of one year covering maternity leave. We welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified Clinical Psychologists and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists who are passionate about supporting babies, children, young people and families who have experienced trauma. We are looking for reflective practitioners who value meaningful relationships, working collaboratively, and share our commitment to kindness, inclusion and high-quality care.

The posts are across our specialist Family Intervention and Therapy Service (FITS) within Tameside and Glossop CAMHS, operating in close partnership with Children's Social Care, and our Tameside and Glossop Parent Infant Mental Health Service (PIMHS). Within PIMHS, you will be part of a specialist service (formerly the Early Attachment Service) helping parents build healthy relationships with their babies and young children from pregnancy up to age five. Within FITS, you will be an integral part of a team delivering trauma-responsive intervention for local families via professional consultation, training, reflective practice, and therapeutic pathways., As a highly specialist Clinical Psychologist or Psychotherapist, you will contribute to the delivery and development of the service alongside an experienced, skilled and passionate multidisciplinary team. You will work with infants, young children and their families from a wide range of backgrounds, providing specialist support where there has been early adversity or trauma, while also strengthening our close partnerships. You will have opportunities to further develop your skills in parent-infant mental health assessment, formulation and intervention through a range of training and professional development opportunities. You will provide a formulation-led service for families from conception to age five, delivering specialist assessment and therapeutic interventions. You will also support the wider workforce through consultation, training and supervision, helping to promote understanding of infant and early years mental health across the system.

Tameside and Glossop CAMHS are a multidisciplinary team providing a mental health service to children, young people and their families. The service has well-established links with our partner agencies including education, children's social care and the VCSE Sector and is striving to fully align to the Thrive approach to delivering mental health services. We are committed to supporting our staff in their development with access to CPD opportunities, a robust clinical and management supervision structure, and access to an in-house training programme covering key areas of psychological practice.
